The Yoakum Tom Tom Festival is one of the oldest festivals in the region and is held the first weekend in June and honors the tomato heritage of Yoakum.

The 2008 Festival will held at the Yoakum City Park on Saturday, June 7, 2008 beginning at 9:00am.

Rodeo events begin Thursday, June 5th, team roping will be at 7:00 pm. June 6th, Friday - Rodeo will start at 8:00pm, and June 7th, Saturday - Ranch Rodeo will begin at Noon, and Rodeo begins at 8:00pm.

There will be a concert at the Community Center Saturday, June 7th from 9:00pm to 1:00am featuring Aaron Watson and Eric Page and 90 Goin South will be the opening act (event sponsored by TDECU.)

Saturday morning at 10:30 am, the official Tom Tom Parade. Continuing Tom Tom events throughout the day Saturday include a BBQ Cook Off (Brisket, Pork Ribs & Chicken Breasts) and Jackpot Beans. All categories receive awards. Visit the Chamber Booth, Craft Booths and all the Food Booths.

Everyone will find something for everyone - Children's Games, Horseshoe and Volleyball Tournaments; Car & Motorcycle Show, and a Dachshund race.
